These enabling works will provide an extended and deep-water berth at the Ash Dock.

The site offers a current power capacity of 20 MVA with the potential of up to 100 MVA from renewable sources. It also provides 2 adjacent National Grid substations which provide access to the National Grid.

Northumberland Energy Park Phase 2

Northumberland Energy Park 2 is located beside the North Sea Link which is the world’s longest subsea connector allowing the export of power generated via wind power and the importing of green electricity from Norway generated by hydro-electric power stations. The 14.5 hectare site utilises a service corridor which provides quay access with deep-water (9.0 LAT) and jack up barge capability. Plus, access to four additional deep-water berths at Battleship Wharf.

Northumberland Energy Park Phase 3

Northumberland Energy Park phase 3 is set to be the site of a 'Hyperscale Datacentre Campus' providing hundreds of long term jobs.

Northumberland Energy Park Phase 4

Northumberland Energy Park 4 offers 36HA of development land. The site boasts a readymade skills base with a population of 930,961 within a 30 minute drive time with approximately 1.6m within a catchment area of around 45 minutes.

“For us, Northumberland was the obvious choice. It’s well located in terms of Dogger Bank and other zones including Hornsea, and well supported by infrastructure and assets right across the North East region. It’s also well positioned in terms of proximity to planned investment off the Scottish coast and that potential market”

James Young
Chief Strategy and Compliance Officer, JDR
